Country Radio

Hi to all,My name is Lucas Miller Cain and I reside in Pinopolis, South Carolina. I’m here to tell you all about country radio in South Carolina. I first started listening to country music when I was at the age of four. I started learning and distinguishing between male and female voices when my mom and I were riding in the car. The station I started listening to was Hot Country 103.5 W.E.Z.L. Back in 1992 was when artists like Travis Tritt were first getting their start in music.I also started listening to artists such as Billy Dean, Garth Brooks, and Alan Jackson. We haven’t heard any new music from Travis, Billy or Alan recently because country music has changed tremendously over the years and it’s sounding more like pop music. In 1998, I met three of my favorite radio personalities, TJ Phillips, Gary Griffin, and Lori Nix. As I got to know them more, I started calling into the station and requesting songs that were my favorites during that time period. I also have inherited a wide country music collection in CD’s and tapes of all sorts of artists including some of the artists mentioned above. My first interview will hopefully be with TJ Phillips and hopefully this will be when my buddy Jeremy Levy from Colorado comes to South Carolina again.
